Psalms 119 95-112

95The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider thy testimonies.

96I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad.

97O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

98Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

99I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

100I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

101I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

102I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

103How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

104Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

105Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

106I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

107I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word.

108Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.

109My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.

110The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.

111Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

112I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end

1 John 1:7-9 (King James Version)

7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The Father's presence encircled Christ, and nothing befell Him but that which infinite love permitted for the blessing of the world. Here was His source of comfort, and it is for us. He who is imbued with the Spirit of Christ abides in Christ. The blow that is aimed at him falls upon the Saviour, who surrounds him with His presence. Whatever comes to him comes from Christ. He has no need to resist evil, for Christ is his defense. Nothing can touch him except by our Lord's permission, and "all things" that are permitted "work together for good to them that love God." Romans 8:28

Thoughts from the Mount of Blessings pg 71

Can you imagine being totally srrounded by the presence of Christ that the devil cannot harm you? It is possibly. With justification by faith we can be cover in the blood of Christ that when the father sees us he does not see our sinful state but see the perfection that is Christ. Justification means that we give our all to God his will becomes ours we are dead to self and Christ covers us with his blood and we in turn become perfect.

As the leaven, when mingled with the meal, works from within outward, so it is by the renewing of the heart that the grace of God works to transform the life. No mere external change is sufficient to bring us into harmony with God. There are many who try to reform by correcting this or that bad habit, and they hope in this way to become Christians, but they are beginning in the wrong place. Our first work is with the heart.

A profession of faith and the possession of truth in the soul are two different things. The mere knowledge of truth is not enough. We may possess this, but the tenor of our thoughts may not be changed. The heart must be converted and sanctified.

Christ Object Lessons pg 97

When you make the descision to follow Christ and and make him your all you don't start with an outside change you must have a "change of heart" for"man looks on the outward appearance but the Lord looks on the heart " 1 Samuel 16:7. When your heart is changed then that change is showed by the things that you do and say and the places that you go. Being a christian is not about having good habits its about have "a clean heart and a right spirit "Psalm 51:10 which is the spirit of God. That spirit can only be recieved by those who obey the law of God Acts 5 :32. We by ourselves cannot obey the laws of God Roman 8: 7-8, that is where justification comes in. Remember God gave us a choice. We get to choose this day whom we will serve so go ahead take your will from the Devil and return it unto God so that his will' will be yours.
