What is the MARK of the Beast and what does it have to do with you. If I told you that there are secret meeting going on by groups of Church leaders would you believe me? If I told you that there is a work being done to pass what we call a National Sunday law but they call a National Day of Rest maybe you still wouldn't believe me. Well it really is not about believing me or not really it is about what the word of God prophesies and is it coming to pass. Many of you reading this may have heard of the term the Mark of the Beast. Some have an idea of what it means but other simply believe that it is far fetched. Now you won't believe what I have to say if you don't believe in the bible.
At the end of time there are going to be only two sets of people those in Rev. 14: 9,10 "Then a third angel followed them saying with a loud voice, If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or in his hand, He himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God which is poured out full strength into the cup of his indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb." Things are not really looking up for this group. The second group is found in Rev. 15:2 And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire and those who had victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name standing on the sea of glass having the harp of God. Now that group I would love to be a part of wouldn't you. So who is that beast and how do you stay away from him. Matt. 6:24 says No man can serve two masters, either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other, ye cannot serve God and Mammon. So if God's people are the second group then the first group belong to the devil. The bible tell us how to identify the beast.
Now if we turn to Rev. 13 we will realize that there are two beast and a dragon . The first beast
1. The dragon would give him his power, his seat and his authority
2. He would speak blasphemy
3. Would be a persecuting power
4. Would rule for 42 months
5. Would receive a deadly wound
6. The deadly wound would be healed
7. The number 666
Only one power on the earth will fit all the points of identification. You don't have to be in doubt about this simple research everything here written with history and connect the dots. Rev. 13:2 "the dragon gave him his power, his throne and great authority." "To the succession of the Caesars came the succession of the Pontiffs in Rome. When Constantine left Rome, he gave his seat to the pontiff." La Blanca, Professor of History, University of Rome. History simply states it the first Beast is Pagan Rome.
Rev. 13:5 "and he was given authority to continue 42 months." In bible prophesy as recorded in Ezekiel 4:6 a day represents a year. So remember the calendar was changed by pope Gregory there was only 30 days in a biblical calendar month. So 30x42=1260. So this power would rule for 1260 yrs beginning form 538. From 538 to 1260 we will arrive at 1798.
Rev. 13:7 "it was granted to make war with the saints and to overcome them." So does Pagan Rome persecute the children of God. Of cause they do. "morally they believed themselves to be saving thousands of souls by the burning of a single heretic. Politically they believed if possible , by sufficently,persisent and ruthless persecution, to extinguish, heresy altogether." Death Penalty for Heresy by G.G. Coulton p.24
Rev. 13:5 " and he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemy." Blasphemy according to the bible is when a person takes to himself prerogatives of God. Jesus was accused of blasphemy by the heads of the church. Does Pagan Rome Blasphemy well "we hold unto this earth the place God Almighty" Encyclical Letters of Pope Leo XII p. 304. Now I hope that you will agree with me that under any circumstance this is just an all around wrong statement.
Rev. 13;3 talks about the beast receiving a mortal wound. Well at the end of the 1260 yrs. "In 1798 he (Berthier)... made his entrance into Rome, ABOLISHED THE PAPAL GOVERNMENT and established a secular one" This deadly wound happened on February 15, 1798.
The wound is healed in Rev13:3 "the deadly wound was healed and all the earth wandered after the beast." History again confirms what happened. This started what was known as the Roman Question, which went on for over a hundred years. Many efforts were made to solve it but every effort depended on the Italian Parliament. In the early 1900s a man came to power who was no longer controlled by the Italian Parliament name Mussolini. And he decided to to settle the Roman Question. He did that by signing the Lateran Pact with the Papal power in 1929 hereby healing the wound.
"and all the world wandered and followed the beast"
The Toronto star, March 9 1992 "Now it can be said that everything which took place in Eastern Europe in recent years would have been impossible without the pope's efforts and the enormous role, including the political role, which he played in the world arena. Pope John II will play an enormous political role now that profound changes have occurred in European history."
Last but not least "for it is the number of a man: His number is six hundred and sixty six." All these ways of figuring the beast out is symbolic. It's name, seal and number is symbolic. So the Pope's official name is

So far we have identified that the first beast is Papal Rome.
